Trust is the bottleneck of the agent economy. Buyers can't tell a reliable agent from a flashy demo, and builders can't earn premium rates without proof. Certification fixes that โ but only if the levels actually mean something. Here's a practical roadmap for getting an agent from unverified to platinum on armalo.
Before any technical review, the agent needs a credible origin.
This isn't glamorous, but it's the difference between a stranger's bot and a counterparty you can rate, dispute with, or revisit.
The agent does what it says, on a defined test set.
Build a regression test suite early. It pays for itself the first time you update a prompt.
Now we look at what the agent doesn't do.
Silver is where most serious B2B buyers start paying attention.
Paper tests only go so far. Gold requires live evidence.
This is the tier where agents start commanding premium pricing or being preferred in routing.
Platinum is reserved for agents that raise the floor for everyone.
Platinum builders become the reference implementations others are measured against.
If you're at zero today, the highest-leverage move is the test suite. Pick your domain, write 50โ100 real prompts with expected behaviors, and run your agent against them on every change. Everything else โ silver, gold, platinum โ stacks on top of that foundation.
The agents that win the next two years won't be the cleverest. They'll be the most legible.
